AquaChek Sel Test Strips – Salinity Measurement for Salt Chlorinated Pools
Quick and accurate check of your pool's salt level
The AquaChek Salt strips (often white) offer a simple and effective solution for measuring the salinity of pools equipped with a chlorinator. They let you quickly verify whether your water contains the correct amount of salt, ensuring optimal chlorinator performance and effective disinfection.
Measurement range: 400 to 7000 ppm
How to use them:
-
Collect the water: Fill a clean container with pool water, leaving about 2.5 cm at the bottom.
-
Dip: Immerse the bottom of the strip in the water for 3 to 4 minutes, keeping the top out of the water for an accurate result.
-
Wait: The strip is ready when the yellow bar at the top turns black (this takes 3 to 7 minutes depending on the product).
-
Read the result: Remove the strip. A white dot (crest) will appear at the top. Compare the position of this dot with the scale on the bottle to obtain the salinity in ppm.
Key points:
-
Essential: Check regularly (at least twice a week) to maintain an optimal salt level.
-
Why? Too low a level reduces chlorine production; too high a level can damage the chlorinator cell.
-
Convenience: Simple, quick, and often available in bottles containing 10 or 50 strips.
