The Waterco Multicyclone Prefilter is a solution for high-performance prefiltration designed to improve the efficiency of your filtration system, both for swimming pools dug-in than above-ground. It is particularly recommended for installations with strong presence of debris or using a cartridge filter.
Thanks to its powerful centrifugal effect, the Multicyclone captures up to 80% of incoming dirt before they reach the main filter. The water from the pump is spun at high speed, which forces sediments to settle in the peripheral reservoir, while the prefiltered water continues on to the filter. The flow rate remains constant, even as the reservoir accumulates debris.
Cleaning is simple and fast: just open the side discharge valve to drain the sediments, without disassembly or prolonged system downtime.
Ideal as a complement to a sand filter, it reduces the frequency of backwashing, thereby allowing significant water savings. Used with a cartridge filter, it reduces the frequency of cartridge cleaning and extends their lifespan.
